painted mountain corn giveaway

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have recently made my first harvest of painted mountain corn thanks to coolname, thank you coolname : )

and thought I would share some seeds with who ever may like some, it was only a small harvest and I plan to scale it up soon so I can only giveaway something like 15 or so seeds to around 5 people, those 15 seeds will produce enough future seed for a large garden beds worth : ) Anyhow let me no if you are interested and I will send them off asap : )

cheers

fruits of me labour.  Any tips on getting the kernels off for making popcorn appreciated (I let them dry on the cob, right?).

yessss I finally got to sowing these the other day, and again,... thank you so very much!!!!

I'm so glad they kept and stored so well :)

6 popped today , one looked like a big fat snake looming from the sand so I put it the right way up :3

I can't wait to grow these outside if I get a chance to keep the garden this year ..

They go in blocks of 5 right?

(as my memory tells me , been years since I tried [and failed] growing corn)

what sort of spacing apart do these require? > a metre square with 1 in the centre?

If you plant out of season it prob wouldn't matter you would get smaller cobs but will give you more seed.
