Caudata Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) Anyone started any of these seeds? SS offered them in their catalog last year I believe, and if I remember correctly they came from a garden in Lima (I'll upload the catalog description when I get home). Mine germinated well but are too small to say much about in regards to characteristics. Just thought I'd start a thread for people to post photos/discussion of their cacti as they grow! Huachu Ma Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) I know Trichocereus pachanoi BK14518.4 San Pedro The mother was a beautiful clone with fat, blue-green stems, deep v-notches above each areole and 1/2"+ long spines. Open pollinated, about 5% of the seedlings show monstrose traits so far. From Pinos Trichocereus collection, Parque de las Leyendas, Lima, Peru. The original locality data is missing. And Trichocereus pachanoi BK14518.4 But its the same description. I dont know the key of the description, only the first two numbers are the year. Caudata Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) Looks like Ben wrote the wrong collection number on my seed packet (BK14516.4), hence the confusion. Thanks for the photo huachuma, looks like a nice pachanoi! Edited November 25, 2015 by Ohlone

CactEye Posted November 25, 2015 Hey yall, I started these up too. Still very small also but here's a pic. Snails took out a good amount of them in early spring, but I kept 9 alive. Here's six of them. I have another little pot with 3 more. One of the 3 is a mutant. Will post pics of that one when I find it. I'd love to see pics of yours Ohlone! Beautiful plant Huachuma!!

Caudata Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Mine are still tiny compared to yall's but it's looking like I've got 2 mutants out of 15 seedlings. Edited February 28, 2016 by Caudata
Caudata Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) A month on. I'll keep updating as the one in the back gets more interesting Any updates on your crest Cacteye? Edited March 28, 2016 by Caudata
Caudata Posted May 17, 2016 It's been another month and a half, and a third seedling has sprouted a freaky nipple. I'd love to see some more mature plants. I'm guessing the 5% mutant rate in Ben's description is an underestimate.
Visceral420 Posted May 18, 2016 Does anybody still have any of these seeds? Have MUCH to offer, plus will do naughty things if required :D
Evil Genius Posted July 1, 2016 Hey guys, here is a pic of the mother plant! And here are the other plants from the same park. This is probably the same plant visited in 2008.
