Now these are aerial roots! (Koehres 'pachanoi')

Recommended Posts

Hey, theuserformerlyknownasrude - please do not badmouth Mrs Fly - she is a sweet old dear who does a lovely job with her teeth out.

Anyway, I thought I would post a pic of two of my grafted plants - both Toumeya papyracantha, although one is a cristate - a species rarely found in collections and supposedly very difficult to cultivate outside its habitat on its own roots - although they are not obviously grafted.

The grafting stock is rather small, and the plants have spent the last year getting acclimatised to the conditions here, and have made a little growth.

In the spring I want to regraft them to some larger Myrtillocactus geometrizans that I have ready. Really I would like to ask all you young grafting experts for any advice. I have done a little grafting which worked out OK.

Nothing was said about Mrs fly personally Spanishcry, just old ppl in general with a certain attitude regarding age and knowledge. I'm glad you are happy with her teeth less jobs tho.

You didn't post your photos. I bet it looks ugly anyways.

This place cracks me up. Who would have thunk you could find somewhere where there is a bit of humorous verbal warfare over something like grafting!
