Nice work mate i have had mine down for a while now but as you know... I have been working my ring out.

You have inspired me to pull my head in and get a bit done. Dam work getting in the way of a perfectly normal cacti addiction/obsession.

How did you find the germ rate??

Thanks for the updates, Guys! Khhaven and everyone who is interested to join...I´ll probably make another one within the next 2-3 weeks. Those will have a different type of seeds, such as my new Trichocereus pachanoi / peruvianus intermediate, Trichocereus tulhuayacensis, Trichocereus tacaquirensis, Trichocereus taquimbalensis, Trichocereus puquiensis and more. :-D

Just a little update for ya.

Had time to squeeze in a quick matucana graft yesterday morning.

Also noticed a tricotyledonous matucana seedling. That's kinda nifty.

So far one Huancavelica and 3 (or 4) Rio Lurin perus. I'll do Matucana and tarmaensis a bit later.

I have a slight suspicion (one side of) the first Rio Lurin scion might be variegated.

Also noticed a tricotyledonous matucana seedling. That's kinda nifty.

Same as my Huancavelica graft

i just put them under lights today to help them kick into growth,

I sowed some about a month ago, unfortunately I haven't had the greatest germination rates, or I was more tame in my seed-sprinkling than I thought but I definitely have a few I can graft once the Peres are ready :)

Masterful! B is the hero that SAB needs to get this competition going! :P But also great reps to Wocket & Senior Jefferson for posting updates. Hope you´ll get some of those Matucanas going as well. They are super bad!

Here are the survivors from the War of the Molds. Matucana is definitely doing the best, Huancavelica and Rio Lurin are both OK, and only a couple of the tarmaensis and knuthianus left. I'll try to graft a couple soon, but it has been a very cold year, it's still cold, don't know how many will take. Hopefully I'll have a few ready for the spring sun in a month or two.

OK so firstly my apologies for the poor picture quality and bad lighting, every time I remember to take pictures it's already night time but I figured somethings better than nothing. So the first pic is Rio Lurin and the last 3 pics are the matucanas. I have a Knuth scion that has stalled since being grafted and had yet to "take off".post-15748-0-56942200-1455354039_thumb.jpost-15748-0-53324600-1455354063_thumb.jpost-15748-0-10476200-1455354124_thumb.jpost-15748-0-45055600-1455354600_thumb.j

I gifted over half of all the seed given to me to two more prepared growers than myself under the understanding of updating this forum with pics. I'll have to check in with them to see if we can't get more pictures in here. One I know for sure is a member here so we'll see.
