etherealdrifter Posted June 14, 2015 Hello, Just wondering if any sabbers out there celebrate the day in any meaningful or joyous way? Apart from spring plantings that you would undertake to hug the longest night of the year, does anybody else here make offerings/effigies? Per chance build a bonfire, dress up as animals, undertake rituals, burn off bad luck, ask for deity intervention in their crops, dance nude by the moon(yay) etc. I like to twine up effigies or dolls of those people i want to do better by me in the following year. I make them, then chant my own chant as i throw them in the fire and ask for a bumper spring to grow my summer crops. So what do you people reckon(apart from do not get on my wickerman list -hehe)? Everybody would have their spin on this -if you observe the turnings of our sun, moon and planets and i'm totally keen to hear any ritualistic or fun shenanigans that you and your kin might get up to. l&l eth p.s and a small shout out and RIP to my favourite hammer movie actor of ALL time( maz) that passed away just recently Christopher Lee http://www.hammerfilms.com/
LokStok Posted June 14, 2015 i have in the past found myself spontaineously dancing a random jig-step on the day of the 22nd june, which i have attributed to my inbuilts, hardwiredness & the remains of my thinly diluted ancesteral druidjuice recognising the flipover.
-RC- Posted June 14, 2015 Make lanterns with the kids and walk a candle-lit spiral, all the way in then all the way out that night.

nut Posted June 15, 2015 I will be on a plane to Bangkok on that very date. I always migrate as far from the shit eating cold and dark days as humanly possible. I shall drop to my knees kiss the warm, dirty Tarmac. Stand and start violently throwing one fingered salutes at the sky screaming repeatedly psychotic style" Fuck you Winter! I beat you again you cold hearted bitch! " after which I shall head into that hot humid beast of a city and start celebrating my personal triumph over the evil that is Winter.

bogfrog Posted June 22, 2015 I was here.. Zipping about, feeling, dancing, laughing, talking, vibing, taking it all in and reconfiguring what had been absorbed into some non-linear configuration of sense. Sooo good! I didn't take any photos, but I found these three on the events fb page, taken by a fulla called Tom Fox. Captures the splendour quite elegantly!

etherealdrifter Posted August 3, 2015 haha. With all this spiritual and science talk, how do people see this topic , now in hindsight ? . We burned bronny months ago(me n me mates at winter sols in JUne). She was ousted because of the initial claims of flight rorts. The picture shows bronny burning while FLYING a witches broom. Science and Spirituality man, maybe it's not mutually exclusive. lol. love random shenanigans.
