Interstate camping trip

Recommended Posts

I am experiencing some life shit that i was hoping would be sorted by now, but alas its still weighing me down. I am not sure if i can come camping, but am not ruling it out all together. I'm not trying to back out due to the EGA thing..... there's nothing i'd like more than to spend a few days in the bush with you nutty plant heads. I'll continue to follow this thread, and wait and see what the universe has in store for me. :)

Edited to not sound so dramatic. lol.

Amz, me too. I'm about to go through the most life changing event and I don't know if I'll be able to make it now either.

Hmmmmm, its a bit patchy.

I understand life has its bumps, and in particular I hope everything is manageable in your world Amz. Love to you.

The travel and my lack of camping stuff (ie a nice cozy van) make this a bit of an imposition.

Probably more driving than socialising. But I was up for that to play with the Melb crew.

I think that only leaves Etherial, if he is not going, then that defeats the purpose.

yes a lot of pressure there Eth.

And of course Watertrade too, who is still unsure.

If Eth needs to spend packets hiring a camper again,it would just be cheaper to fly him up to Sydney.

What I am saying is, if the numbers reduce to not justify the petrol ,time etc.

To drive down to an interstate meet, with no interstate guest stars,

Then we can always default to a camp meet at my farm, and fly Eth and his lady up if they are available.

We could put in some of what our petrol costs would have been.

Maybe entice some of the Newcastle crew out from the shadows.

At least we will have total privacy, more relax time. Dry firewood.

We may not even be able to sit around a campfire Fireban time of year, in a public place.

So just sayin. A plan B is now avail, not to complicate things, or compete with plan A

but to provide a simpler alternative to Sydney folks who have booked that weekend to party.

I can see Toby, Hillbilly and I sitting in some random spot, in the rain again, looking at each other going,

why did we have to drive 8hrs to catch up with each other.

no pressure Horus just i've been elsewhere and not followed this thread but .....................................geez  - way to humble a fella with all those worldly vibes of positive flow and electric eclectic honesty

:)

Love you guys, great stoic bunch of happy campers but i'm out for those dates.

7th is our anniversary and i always cherish that space with my beautiful lady.

After that it's festivals and frivolities up to mid Jan 2016.

So we are no good for Tamut but will be trying to get up to the farm sometime between mid jan and feb/march next year and hopefully reconnecting with yous and meeting some members that haven't been met yet :bootyshake:

Man top stuff for offering up an alternative and hopefully we can see you lovely minds in the new year.

p.s i'm fucking chuffed you offered the airfare but it's more a time constraint thingy me bob than money cobber............................................. because i've been racking in the pensioner dollar down at the blue rinse fridays at the DC rsl.

Don't be mean to others but make sure your sequinned g is in tiptop shape if ya wanna scrape in the old bag coin.

:worship:

Ok, so Amazonian can relax and focus on her kuffuffles, Glaukus can sort his business too, old mate Eth can get all loved up with our collective blessing, Obtuse can enjoy all the EGA has to offer, and Watertrade can spend the the time with his lovely family.

For those of us still wanting to go on a trip that weekend, I will refer you to the Sydney Newcastle meet up thread, where I will try raise a crew for some social interaction with the ancestor spirits of Yengo.

Let's take a rain check on this grand idea, for some time next year.

I feel bad I have added to the change in the camping trip, and I'm disapointed that I won't get to hang out with the crew. I was so hoping things would be sorted for me by now.

A rain check it is.

Thanks guys.

Hey everybody, this place looks like a good pilgrimage.

Any you Vics been there yet?

http://www.cactuscountry.com.au/

Yeah mate, that place is absolutely stunning, especially around this time of year when everything is in bloom. There's a cafe and seating area too to relax in too - it can get very hot in summer. I couldn't speak more highly of this place, you really have to experience it to comprehend the magnificence. It's so big that in certain spots you can look around and see nothing but cacti in 360 degrees, giving you the illusion that you're on some kind of cactus planet!

My first few SAB camping trips were in this area with trips to cactus country. It's pretty awesome. The home of the j series of cacti named after jim the owner. And psycho0 too.

Incognito tried walking around the whole garden in bare feet. If my memory serves me, i rescued him by heroically carrying him piggy back.
