Grafts rooting on stock

Recommended Posts

Hello all I've done approx 90-100 grafts in the past 1.5mths and I'm definatly learning some stuff which is great. Been able to hone in beautifully and am now getting almost 100% success. But with one particular trich crest I am trying to clone it keeps throwing roots out..

I did 2 original grafts, all did it. Then 1 more , did it, and now for a 3rd time. Here's a pick

Am just curious why this crest is doing this and NOTHING else I've grafted has?

Seriously though, we love our plants, so why force them to do something against their will?

If it wants to root, let them roots go man!

I bought a graftee crest about a month ago that had some roots, last week it started showing new growth..... I'm glad I didn't de-graft it ;)

Oh don't worry this is pumping compared to what it was ;) the root thing just makes me curious. It all seems to be lined up and growing really well on all the grafts. It'll stay there till it's at least triple size!

I've got a few tricho crested grafts, I found the ones that don't seem to ahve a perfect union are more likely to start throing roots out.
