Tephrocactus?

Question

small-mid sized, dont have it a long time, it could get a bit larger with time....

segments up to 3 cm long for now

Not for sure but reminds me of some forms of maihueniopsis conoidea

Thanks! I was looking at Tephrocacti species yesterday and noted they are bigger than this and noone matched, and started thinking that maybe its some other more miniature species closely allied to Opuntioids. Maihueniopsis looks right, size wise.

Might be a hybrid if seed is from a grower and not an insitu location

Interesting , yeah that first one was from a collector, so transgenic hybrids are possible in this cluster?

what about this one.. ??? I have it for some 5-6 years, grew it from a small segment . It hasn't ever been repotted or flowered as far as I have seen...
