Berengar Posted March 15, 2017 Here's a few of the new hybrids sown in February 2017., some I think are from pod1, some pod2, and some mixed. Sausage, Psycho0, Adelaide macro, Red spine peru, Validus, Yowie, Goliath and werdermannianus (the largest ones). There are some molds in the trays which are resistant to fungicide and peroxide, but they don't seem to be doing any harm. Thanks again for distributing these!

spooge Posted August 5, 2019 Your Secret Garden op's are looking great Noname. I never did impale grafts with mine, i kept them on their own roots cept for some of the val op's which i grafted to pachanoi. Master B very kindly sent me a Narelle graft, (ABG Tac op) i nearly lost her but luckily managed to save her The validus op are my fave cuz they are validus, these are from pod 1 This one is especially nice - pod 2 Other SG op's from pod 1 Goliath, Yowie and Bruce. pod 2 and pod 3 - SG op Cordobensis, Validus, Rio Mosna, Psycho0, MM Bridgesii, ABG Tacaquirensis, Scop, Goliath. Thank you Mr X.
Black Rainbow Posted August 5, 2019 Is there ABG tac OP going around as ABG werd OP? I have some of these plants and they look quite similar.

There are two plants at the Adelaide Botanic Garden (ABG) that are labeled Werdermannius. Pics of those two plants - Tacaquirensis looking plant Taquimbalensis looking plant Imo ones a Tacaquirensis and one may be a Taquimbalensis - imo neither are Werdermannius The plant at the SG that the seed pods have come from is the Tacaquirensis looking plant, a cutting was given to Mr X several years ago from the ADL Botanic Garden which is why i call them ABG TAC SG OP (Adelaide Botanic Garden Tacaquirensis Secret Garden Open - ABG TAC SG OP) This is the plant at the SG that all the SG Tac op seeds have come from in pod 1, 2 and 3. ABG Werd or Tac op means the seeds are strait from the Adelaide Botanic Garden and not from The Secret Garden. Not distributed by myself, anything from The Secret Garden should always have 'SG' in the title. Ive a plant from Getafix i got in 2014 labeled as ABG werd. Another guy from Adelaide sent some ABG tac seeds around last season or the season before, im not sure if he's on here. Spachianus maybe the only other trichocereus sp flowering at the same time in the botanic gardens as the tacs/taqs or maybe and much more exiting......... the two tacs/taqs are cross pollinating each other........ MountainGoat Posted August 5, 2019 Hey @spooge, I thought narelle was a validus op from you...? Haven’t heard from Master B for many moons... I nearly lost mine too, but it’s rising from the ashes. Is yours showing vari? Mine has a very high % of yellow...

I am now calling this seed grown secret garden variegated werdermannianus x op .... "Narelle" ( after my Nan that pasted away a couple of weeks ago... she was a great and strong girl) I managed to graft the top and bottom of this seedling and they both took. I have had dichotomous and semi monstrose pups from this cross as well as the obvious variegation. Stay tuned as one may be coming your way soon! Thanks S and Mr x Narelle - Defo Tac op from the SG The Narelle graft Master B sent me was monstrose and had some vari, both grew out MountainGoat. I got a SG vari tac op on its own roots, slow grower
