Can't accurately ID these things anyway.

Phenotypes can change from one location to another depending of course upon epigenetic effects in the plant.

Even 2 clones can look completely different if grown in different locations.

Sometimes differences in location can be as small a change as solute concentration in the water you are using on your plant.

For all we know at the moment half of the "species" that we know and love could well just be ecotypes, phenotypes or combinations of the two rather than distinct species

Oh and just to give some background reading on that (Because it seems to be a concept missing on these forums)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenotype

If you have worries about the validity of the claims click the little blue numbers at the ends of sentences/claims. They aren't just their for decoration and will take you to the source of that claim.

You can then go further from there if you wish or you can turn away from it and blindly ridicule and deny the process that has gone into procuring the results that may or may not offend you.

Get a copy of trouts san pedro book if you can, and spend hours looking at pictures, you might start to see similar features with some of the varieties. Or not...I get some plants with columns from the same base and they vary a lot.

It's all good.

ID is possible but very complicated.

You essentially need to observe the variations the form can have under different conditions and in different environments.

Trouts book does illustrate the phenoplastic range that different genotypes can exhibit.

Lol. I didn't even realise cubism had added a link for books, I thought it was his signature, and the arrows up in the post meant he wanted to know where to get the literature from also. Lol. I need glasses. :)
