Gunter Posted November 16, 2014 I lost my collection to a severe freeze last fall. Before I did however I managed to share many plants, hundreds of cuttings over years. I did lose a collection that took over ten years to obtain. So now I am starting over, I have some seeds and recently ordered more. I am looking for suggestions on neat plants to grow. Instead of a large collection I want to keep it small, maybe up to a dozen plants. What are some nice plants worth growing, that can be obtained in the USA? I prefer hybrids and lately want hybrids between things like pachanoi and terscheckii with things like grandiflorus and small echinopsis. I found these pics of hybrids that show what I am after:

M S Smith Posted November 17, 2014 I looked up Kahler Eberhard from that second photo and found a couple other lookers, but I couldn't find any names. http://www.kaktussnake.de/dkg-ortsgruppe-muehldorf/sammlungen-unserer-mitglieder/eberhard-kahler/ ~Michael~
Gunter Posted November 17, 2014 Yeah, they came from an excellent cactus hybrid forum. They would theoretically flower beautifully in pots in colder climates where they need to overwinter indoors.
Gunter Posted November 17, 2014 I have a little bit of seed to trade if anyone is interested. Mostly SS02 and peruvianus x PC, nothing special but some good genes in there.
solaritea Posted November 17, 2014 I think I recognize the first one in your post, Michael, as Konig Ludwig. I've been keeping an eye out for one for the last year. Gunter, I've got some terscheckii x grandiflorus seeds I'll send you. Pm if you want them.
