avoiding sunburn on young seedlings

Recommended Posts

I have started a new batch of seedlings this week and had great germination so far.

They're all in takeaway containers and sitting on a benching that gets sunlight for around half a day, and indirect light for the rest of the day.

To avoid sun damage, I have draped some doubled over curtain material over the top.

Do you think this will be enough protection from the late winter sun?

Or move them right away from the sun until they are older?

That should do the job, just make sure you keep an eye on them. It depends on what I am growing, but I usually try and keep my seedlings out of direct sunlight until they are strong enough to handle it
