Torsten Posted July 10, 2014 yes, it's that time again. A forum software upgrade. This time a bit more than just a security update. I am trying to add a bit more functionality to the forums. Yes, all sorts of things are likely to go wrong and there is not much point telling me about them until I ask for feedback, because it means we are still working on it. You may have noticed the chat/shoutbox disappeared last night. It will be replaced with a fully featured chatroom which is part of the main software so will be properly maintained by IPB [no more mystery buttons!]. The classifieds section has also gone. I've given up trying to get it to work again. There are a lot of new features that will become available to me and I'll decide if they are worth implementing as we go along. Please note that it is currently limited to 20 simultaneous users. If this is not enough I will increase the license, so will need feeedback. Security update is also complete. Torsten Posted July 12, 2014 cheshire, I need more info about what you are using before I can help. I don't use a mobile device, so not sure if there are still problems. Please be thorough in your reporting as i am not able to read minds. we are obviously having some issues with the looks of the site at the moment, but that should not be affecting the functions. Chat is supposed to be working on mobile devices. Minimum info needed is operating system and version [or device and age so I can guess]. The actual problems or limitation. Cheshire, if you get dingdong and kerchik then you are obviously already accessing the chat. That's people entering and leaving the chat room. It opens up ina separate window, so maybe you are not seeing that? I get the error i took a screenshot of when i try and access the forum. I don't even get the main page...just that. I deleted cookies etc.. Restarted my phone and its still not launching. (There is a software update for my phone that i haven't initiated, but i cant see it being that?! I will do the update just to rule that out)Edit: software update didnt fix it.
