Lucifuge Posted June 22, 2014 Here are some photos of two acacias found on the metropolitan southside of Brisbane. The first three pics of one tree, and the last two are of the other. Can anyone ID them?
HolographicYou Posted June 22, 2014 I wish i could help, ideas come to mind although nothing difinitive. They are stunning looking plants! I'd love to find out the id on the first plant, if we don't hear back from anyone else, I'll do my best.
fydesvindico Posted June 22, 2014 Both are either concurrens or leiocalyx, hard to tell without close ups of branchlets, flowers and phyllodes. Check out plantnet for id's
Lucifuge Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) Went back there and got a couple of close-ups of the leaves and flowers. That's the first 3rd and 4th pictures. Also while there I noticed 3 more trees starting to flower. Does anyone have any idea what they could be? Edited July 7, 2014 by DarkSoul

fydesvindico Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Edit* just re-read this post, didn't realise how rude my reply was. Sorry, must have been in a bad mood that day haha! Keep scouting, gotta learn somehow Edited August 29, 2014 by fydesvindico
Lucifuge Posted July 6, 2014 So it is. Oh well, we learn from our mistakes. Have removed that one from the post.
River Posted August 28, 2014 I agree with fydesvindico A. Concurrens and A. Leiocalyx. They often grow together. Obvious confluent prominant veins near base on phyllodes that they both share.
