0 ThunderIdeal Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) i can't even tell what the green thing is, but i eventually decided the spiky thing on the left is banksia? i'm gonna guess the white thing is part of a flower. Edited May 15, 2014 by ThunderIdeal
0 Berengar Posted May 15, 2014 Peziza species, possibly something close to Peziza vesiculosa.
0 Amazonian Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) It is weird, i keep looking at it trying to work out what it is. It looks like tripe, lol. There is some round puff ball looking thing above it that appears to have the same texture, maybe thats how it starts off?! Edit: i was composing this post as the above comment was submitted. Looks like it could be Peziza vesiculosa. Not very attractive fungus is it.lol. Edited May 15, 2014 by Amazonian
0 Amazonian Posted May 15, 2014 I just googled 'tripe looking fungus' and there is a 'Tripe Fungus' Auricularia mesenterica and its a wood lover?!
0 Berengar Posted May 15, 2014 Auricularia mesenterica is a cool looking mushroom. Oddly arousing feel to it too, soft, fuzzy on top, skin smooth on the bottom...
0 Amazonian Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) This is one of the pics that came up under Auricularia mesenterica, it looks a bit similar to the fungi in the opening post. *shrugs . Edited May 15, 2014 by Amazonian
0 Swiper Posted May 15, 2014 Thanks for the replies, I have no idea about fungi, I think you might be right Amazonian, it's all very confusing to me !

0 Berengar Posted May 16, 2014 It most definitely is not Auricularia mesenterica or any other Auricularia species. That is Peziza vesiculosa or whatever the Australian equivalent is.
