shortly Posted April 28, 2014 Dont know that i'm keen to take anything with me apart from my family & the camera, wouldn't want to be carting plants or cuttings about across state borders. And certainly wouldn't even consider partaking given the police presence.
San Rainbow Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) I have never been to mardigrass, is the po po that full on? fark I would think they might turn a blind eye for one day! I am there for work once a week, it is a very colorful place if you know what I mean... this kind of behavior is day to day life for most locals, give the town some space po po! Is parking much of an issue if you get there relatively early? Edited April 28, 2014 by San Rainbow
franky Posted April 29, 2014 I was there last year, Po po presence was low, we only saw the same pack of about 5 cops wondering the streets over the 4 days. very few arrests last year afaik as well. Wish i was going this year
Darklight Posted April 29, 2014 Last years po-po presence was def low and apparantly the best and most appropriate response in years. I've heard similar for this year FWIW Still, don't take silly chances. It's not like the universe is going to run out of pot And if you're driving, please do it safely and consideration for locals. We have just spent most of Easter and Bluesfest queued on 80-100km roads doing 50-60km behind people who won't use the slow lanes or pull over to allow faster traffic to pass. Mardi Grass drives most of us nuts
