Enjaytee Posted March 18, 2020 Hey gang. I went out for a solo wander on the Gold Coast yesterday. A lot of action in the cubey kind of way. Cubes are a dear friend of mine and was nice to get reacquainted after such a long time without.

-RC- Posted March 29, 2020 Yeah we've had evening showers quite a bit actually. I haven't been paying attention, but when you feel the call chances are somethings afoot I would expect to see flushes after decent falls for the next month or so easily. More than likely cubes only though.
Zonad Posted April 2, 2020 Considering a mission on Saturday morning. Has anyone found amanitas in SEQ? Just think it would be cool to see one, or a whole bunch. Was thinking the pine forests on the sunny coast? 2 birds 1 stone... hinterlands and pine forest would be a fun trip.
Zonad Posted April 3, 2020 Just read that I shouldn’t even be out foraging? No rock climbing and foraging makes zonad go something something...

Fungal Forest Posted April 9, 2020 Hi gang. As the cooler months draw nearer I'm thinking again of the possibility of finding Amanitas. Has anyone ever seen these growing as far north as the Sunshine Coast pine plantations? I haven't done much exploring for these but I have seen what looks like a yellow Amanita. -RC- Posted April 9, 2020 Hey mate. I haven't come across any, but I am clueless as far as soil temps and elevation, etc. goes for amanitas though...

Fungal Forest Posted April 15, 2020 Hi sorry if it's starting to get of topic. But I found this whilst looking at info on Amanita, which may be interesting for some. I guess it could be used for other species also. https://biocache.ala.org.au/occurrences/search?q=lsid:13d92830-593c-4fa3-a1c4-85aa80d124e6#tab_mapView Cheers
-RC- Posted May 14, 2020 I reckon I can call this season closed. Night time temps are getting down around 10 C, which is too low in my experience for fruiting regardless of rain fall. Until next time then aye?

-RC- Posted August 13, 2020 Spring has sprung up here for sure. And you know what follows Spring... I reckon it's going to be a wet one too
Jungle John Posted August 19, 2020 I agree RC ! They say it's likely to be a la Nina Year ...... conceivably we could have an early wet season , we might see some late September fruiting
