Auricularia ?

Question

Hello everyone,

These have sprung up along the branches of a mulberry tree in my backyard. I think they might be Auricularia this photo shows powdery white spores that have come off when touched, the whole thing is like a velvety texture.

It could be but with the one picture provided I can't be sure.

Is it possible to take a habitat picture or some more pictures of specimens in different stages of development?

I went looking through a couple of books, but without a habitat shot, and more info on your location, nothing specific just climate and weather conditions lately, as per Karode13's post, it is too difficult to pinpoint anything specifically.

Cheers, Ob.

Haha sorry guys I suppose it wasn't much to go off, I have attached habitat pictures.

If you can see they have grown on the underside of the low branches of the tree, it has been on and off raining for a week or so and over the last few days leading up to them appearing it rained heaps.
