Schrodinger's Khat Posted February 3, 2014 Hello, I don't know if anyone will sell/trade with someone so new but I have searched and searched locally for T. Scop and just cannot find it! I was wondering if anyone had a nice tip cutting (dosent have to be massive as I am a tad tight for cash atm) that they could sell (I don't have much to trade at the moment) Thanks in advance. irabionist Posted February 3, 2014 I swear I've seen one at nearly every Bunnings I've visited!
terracottacactus Posted February 3, 2014 +1 for bunnings. Even if they don't have one the garden manager will be happy to order you one if you ask nicely. Welcome to the forum by the way.
Foo Posted February 3, 2014 theres been a few talks about the Bunnings Scops and the consensus seemed to be thay are t.scop x t.pach or some other hybrid mix. Not that i would discourage a bunnings purchase as i quite like mine :D
Brendo Posted February 3, 2014 Dang! I've never seen a Scop at Bunnings and there are three in my area. Definitely keeping my eyes open! Good luck finding your Scop mate
terracottacactus Posted February 3, 2014 Good call Foo, I think I remember you saying that before when this topic came up last time. After reading that how to ID a scop thread I have to agree with you, all my scops from Bunnings (3) they all seem like hybrids.
Cimi Posted February 3, 2014 Cool name! I was successful in getting a scop on Ebay, maybe try there?
Schrodinger's Khat Posted February 3, 2014 I have heard about the mystical Bunnings finds also, maybe I'm a bit too rural for them to send decent cacti to the store. Always just petty unhealthy looking Echinopsis. I was trying to avoid Ebay but I might have to check it out. Thanks!
Foo Posted February 4, 2014 Always just petty unhealthy looking Echinopsis. Your looking for Echinopsis scopulicola
Schrodinger's Khat Posted February 4, 2014 Yeah I know, but the only "columnar" cacti they have are Pasacana or Terschekii, then the other Echinopsis are globular. I have received some PM's so now I just need to get my finances right, lol. Thankyou everyone for helping.

Foo Posted February 6, 2014 That vic Scop listing is a bit BS. The growth of the plant looks alot like the bunnings scops and the flower photo isnt of the plant for sale.
