A solstice offering - ALL DONE

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, just have some seeds to giveaway. One lot only.

To enter simply tell me what your favourite plant (or plant species) is and WHY!

I will choose one member to receive the seeds at 10pm Wednesday (extended cause I didn't realise how much I would enjoy hearing what people's fav plants are)

Happy solstice everyone :)

One lot only sorry. I have done my day of big giveaways.

- Please ensure it is legal to import the following seeds to your location.

I do not take responsibility for this, but I am happy to leave out anything that you can't receive and send the rest if you notify me.

- turbinacarpus el huizache

- scopulicola x pachanoi

- peruvinanus x yowie

- spachianus

- GoT's Super pedro x (scop x bridge)

- desmanthus leptobulus

- hemia salicifolia

- coleus blumei "Dood #1"

- datura innoxia

- ilex paraguayensis (Yerba mate)

- mesembryanthemum crystallinum (ice plant lettuce)

- heirloom tomato 'Ananas Noire' aka Black Pineapple (large dark purple fruit with green shoulders)

- "inferno" chilli

- chiranthodendron pentadactylon (devil's hand tree)

I'll pay post.

All I ask in return is that you share the love in your own way when you can.

Hmmmm hard call. I recon my all time favorite buy a gnat's whisker would be the humble narnie. I just love their yummy fruit & lovely tropical foliage. They are such wonderfully generous souls.

@ Kate is that Neobuxbaumia polylopha?

@shortly I'm pretty sure she means Lophocereus schottii monstrose. I'm addicted to that cactus, just want to hold them and kiss them!

I reckon orchids would have to be up there on the list of favs. They are a plant that can grow in a variety of habitats , in rock crevices, in trees, in pots, in the ground, no garden is too small for an orchid. They have a variety of flowers....so many different colours, patterns and design. The flowers last a while, and if you use your imagination, you can nearly always see an animal or a face or a deity ?!

All plants are awesome in their own way, so its hard to pick a favourite, but yeah, i will go with Orchids :)

EDIT: pics...

Happy Solstice!

I really enjoy Trichocereus cacti, the columnar growing style is awesome and I love how some tend to offset more than others and have different growing types and spination that is unique to each. I especially love when their DNA gets all funky and they display mutant growth patterns, that's when I get excited :)

Cheers! :)

Ooh! Wow ! I haven't seen that orchid before bogerz, there's a lot going on in that flower hey :)

I should mention I am pretty fond of Lotus and Lilly flowers and pads as they bring peace just by looking at them . I dunno which plant is really my favorite , as I said before, they are all special in some way .

Hi,

Well thats a hard question to answer but at the moment I would have to say my main fascination is with succulents.

Wow, what incredible diversity. Countless variations all with beautiful geometric intricacies.

They seem programmed to reproduce like no other, will grow like crazy in terrible conditions requiring minimal water and nutrients.

The ultimate survivor. What an evolution!!!

Happy holidays all :-)

I have to go with Doublebenno as I am most taken with his answer.. But I am also very taken with Shortly's answer too. By a gnats whisker!

Plz pm your addresses both of you!

Also I cannot neglect the cactus freaks, as they are my kin, so anyone who answered they love cacti the most can pm me their address for trichocereus seeds as I have lots.

Thanks for playing everyone. Sorry to those who missed out, in consolation I wish all your gardens grow more beautiful than ever before and bring you an abundance of flowers and many smiles.

Merry Christmas to all.

And Thunder, do you know the name of that last plant in your official selection? I would quite happily grow one of those just for the countless opportunities to wig people out. Aquatic alien treasure-box if I ever saw one.

sorry ceres, dreamwalker. google already thinks i'm weird, i'm not giving it ammo by searching "vagina plant" for the twelfth second time this week.

other photos show it opening up into wedges from the top so it usually looks even more like something that might be gestating a face-hugger. it looks like one of those rare and stinky underground parasites like amorphophallus or perhaps more closely, rafflesia.
