cactuscarl Posted November 1, 2013 Hi all I'm looking for an id on this one. I think I might actually be onto something here finally. Its growing at my parents house on the sunshine coast, my old man chopped the top off it so what you see is new growth. Its all one plant the pic of the seedling is a sucker off the root system. woodwoman Posted December 13, 2013 I would have said a.melanoxylon too! But unless there is a seed pod I can look at it is very hard, the seed punicle should wrap around the seed twice and be orangish, if melanoxylon. Are the seed pods curly? Acacia Melanoxylon is an amazing timber and highly sought after for woodturning and instrument making (See pic) Cheers!
