morpheus Posted March 23, 2014 Hard to tell without flowers, but I'd say the Top Right pic is Acacia.elongata and bottom right pic is Acacia.longafolia sophorae
Justin Credible Posted April 13, 2014 be super if you could get more pics of these Acacias, they both have similarities to some of qlds rare or endangered acacias.
Raoul Duke Posted April 13, 2014 One looks like Acacia longifoliabut can't be 100% sure, the other looks like A. iteaphylla but not sure if that one's in Queensland. But it could be a garden escapee? Hope that helps a bit.
briliant_botanist Posted May 21, 2014 I think the prized cuban cigar should go to morpheus for what I believe to be a very discerning eye for the details presented in the images Some detailed pics of the trees growing would allow a more detailed analysis of this species! cactuscarl Posted May 21, 2014 The top one I has long white flowers just like maidenii there are a few around they are mostly small thin plants growing on the roadside in thick bushland. They are just finishingflowering now. Hope that helps
Justin Credible Posted May 22, 2014 Maybe A. longissima A. orites (near threatened...love seeds ) A. floribunda
cactuscarl Posted May 26, 2014 They will have seed soon I'll get some pics of the seed pods and collect some seed asap. Also the council has tagged some to be removed in the last few days would it be worth getting some bark.
Bigred Posted May 28, 2014 Maybe A. longissima thats what i think the bottom one is
cactuscarl Posted May 30, 2014 Here are a couple of pics of the flowers. I have a really low quality pic of the tree but I can't upload it. I will try again later. The plant seems to grow just on the edge of thick rainforests where its dry. I assume its not to far above sea level as most of the forest floods in heavy rain.
