(from a couple days ago)

now this is what I am talking about.. I think I have found a slightly larger one in diameter couple years ago, this stil is a giant of kinds, its also lot more tall than the otehr I remember which was widish. Strange and ancient little creatures, Cantharellus cibarius, come with lots of variations... . Nice clean specimens this year ..

cheers to all mushroom hunters over the globe

Found heaps of these over the weekend. Smooth white underside with pores. Turkeytail (Trametes Versicolour) I believe?

^ Definitely interested in hearing the results of that DNA testing spooge,

to think you have potentially found a new psilocybe species is incredible.   :worship:

Keep us all updated mate, awesome stuff!  Amazing photos too by the way!   :shroomer:

its an albino!

^ This is an excellent observation baow - indeed mushrooms at this stage of development should of certainly dropped their spores, rendering the gills black/purple. Which suggests that it could indeed be an albino.

I was always under the impression that with fungi albinos, they aren't guaranteed, same as with humans... An albino human can have children and the kids aren't going to necessarily be abinos themselves.
This is the same with shrooms, you can even germinate albino spores and they can produce regular pigmented shrooms. So if these are indeed albinos, its strange that they come back every year AS albinos consistently.

The plot fucken thickens... This is extremely exciting stuff IMO. Thanks for the amazing contribution  @spooge  do let us all know what the results are. I am dying to find out.
