C_T Posted July 5, 2013 seems like you will need a costly quarantine cert and procedure to even think about plant matter. thats why seeds are so much easier, so much easier to treat and make sure no pests hiding in there. aus and nz are absolute nazi when it comes to importing plants, so i'd say as a rule, pretend absolutely NOT. if you can get something back, great. thats the reason its 3 bucks... even seeds need to be treated and certified. i say this as a collector who got a cutting and still battling the scale outbreak even tho the cutting looked clean, a little TOO CLEAN! It seems unfair to us because someone like Bigred has comparatively little compared to some of the wealthiest in our society, but that's the way our economy runs so we have to kind of expect it, sadly. Until we come up with a more advanced, civilized way of running things then this will continue to happen and while we must guard against it to avoid being too disadvantaged ourselves. I hope I don't sound pompous but it's really easy to blame people who are forced to function in such a hostile environment with very little to bargain with. We should remember to blame those people who insist on keeping such an unfair system going to their own advantage - i.e. politicians and wealthy businesspeople and work to rep[lace the capitalist system as soon as possible.
