bogfrog Posted March 22, 2013 Hey fellow greenthumbs, I just harvested a massive amount of seed from my vege garden and would like to trade for other edible or medicinal seeds, preferably home grown. I figured others should be harvesting their own edible seed too, so if you have seeds you wanna exchange feel free to post about it here. All my seed is from a spray free garden, and the only feeding has been a little seasol and comfrey tea. All seed is freshly harvested, dry, clean, and free of pests and leaf matter. Today i have, Edible: * purple dragon carrots * wong bok - chinese cabbage * mountain spinach * bright lights silverbeet * rhubarb * cape gooseberry * quinoa (red, black & white) * ulluco * variegated chilli - i want to trade these for another kind of chilli- (very cool plant with purple, white and green leaves with purple fruit that ripen to red. Im new to chillis so what seems very hot to me might be nothing to a chilli-finatic. Pics to come) Medicinal: *siberian motherwort *gotu kola (not heaps enough for 2 people) * silene capensis Hope to hear from some other gardeners. I will update this thread as more seed ripens, i have skullcap, withiana somnifera, lemon balm, romanesco broccolli, cauliflower, spinach and several varieties of lettuce on their way. shortly Posted March 22, 2013 (edited) I have some spare yam bulbils Amorphophallus bulbifer; Dioscorea alata; D opposite & possibly some D villosa & D bulbifer have to check how ripe they are in the day. Just scored some sapote fruit as well, they arent home grown but i have a couple if anyone is desperate for seed.
