modern.shaman Posted February 29, 2016 Ok, here it is. Two pups, and it looks like one just might be starting to crest again. image.jpg Did this 'revert' to crest or remain penis? Here is one of my favorite plants TBMC in a 6 inch pot. It is still quite small but seems to have adapted to my climate and stopped callousing/weeping and is growing nicely now. I noticed that mine grows a little hairy when new spines are coming thru... a long form tbm has some small fuzz on the tip which is weird to me but I'm sure just a spine coming in.
sagiXsagi Posted March 2, 2016 I wonder if both of the crest bridgesi forms are behind two of the different forms penis tbms pm me if you have the spiny form for sale - I know it exists is oz

modern.shaman Posted March 6, 2016 Does anyone have a trichocereus pasacana or terscheckii crest? I only see 1 picture online by Valentino. It seems that they are as rare as Carnegiea Gigantea crest in cultivation. I find long spine crests pretty attractive like Stetsonia crest and hope to get one from seed. Plan on sowing 1k seeds of terscheckii just to find a crest.... Plan on grafting another 'kohres scop' to see if it also looks more like pasacana/terscheckii. I have a crested seedlings but IDK species.
sagiXsagi Posted March 6, 2016 Leaving forum cause tired of being trolled by Zellpantogen. its a bit ironic if you consider that zelly attacked me because of my anti-american comments and jokes, telling me I was driving away people from the forum. and yeah, there a grafted pasacana crest that's been on sale for some time http://www.cactus-art.biz/catalog/en/product/5339/Trichocereus-pasacana-forma-cristata.html I got two crested stetsonias, man they grow so slow! sagiXsagi Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) a slow growing lobivia, it once flowered for me and the flower was moster too. This graft was done on selinicereus and it stalled for more than 12 months (was neglected too) before it burst into growth couple months ago.. polaskia with nice red purple effect Oreocereus and Mammilaria crests.. modern.shaman Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) My TBMC has started to grow some darker fuzz but still no 'ball' so probably not trying to flower but I am hopeful as some other cacti are starting to bud. A bridgesii seedling is showing an interesting trait which I hope remains consistent... Looks very cool right now but may just grow out of it. sagiXsagi Posted March 11, 2016 you mean the lines? could that be mechanical damage?
modern.shaman Posted March 11, 2016 Very doubtful that it is mechanical damage. The growth resembles crested/monstrose areole growth that happens some times with TBMC and TPM. Rather then spines growing from 1 point they are growing in a line. Idk if it will remain but never seen it happen to more then 1 areole at a time. This is still young and small so may just be a phase.
