Amazonian Posted February 23, 2013 I knew this was going to be good , but I will have to look at the other 50 odd pages later...lol (and I will). There's something about a cabin out in the middle of nature hey.
planthelper Posted February 23, 2013 beautyfull! in the old day's and still happening in remote areas, probably, some cabins would alway be open to every visitor and you could use the things you find in the cabin, and leave something behind in exchange.
Halcyon Daze Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) I always wanted to visit this place -Guy's Hut in the Alpine National Park. It's 70 years old and I think it's heritage listed. There are many books on building huts and cabins, also youtube is great for tutorials. Edited February 24, 2013 by Halcyon Daze

Amazonian Posted February 24, 2013 Post. #6.... That's not a cabin...that's a mansion !
Amazonian Posted February 24, 2013 For me, a single room cabin would be all i need.....as long as it has a veranda. The problem is, i like the ocean AND the forest, so i would like ocean frontage, with a jungle rear . Not asking too much i don't think, lol. A cabin in the trees would be good... hmm, but then it would be a tree house huh. Each setting has a different feel. Maybe a cabin in every state is needed .
OPP Posted February 24, 2013 There is a 3 part series on ABC called Kevin McClouds man made home. He makes a cabin from the trees on his land and aims to be totally self sufficient. Havent been able to watch it myself but plan to stream it from the ABC website at some point.

Then u have to fire up the 44 for hot water for a bath only its pissing down with rain which means there's been no sun so u got no power in the batteries and u got no petrol for the genny. Yep but u still got to get up and be at work by 7.30, home at 5 and its dark by then in winter.. Woops I'm ranting. Damned reality its spoiling my fantasy!
