Surprisingly haven't knocked down any of the tables full of stuff yet, but I am also mindful of the hose when I water and have a pattern I follow to keep it from getting stuck. I think all the weight keeps them pretty sturdy too as long as they are built nicely.. Did have a bunch of tables stacked 2 blocks high all domino over after a heavy rain, I rebuilt all the tables only 1 block high after that lol

Im pretty confident it has a terscheckii or pasacana as the father. It is very fat for under lights

All your pics are looking great Master B! It seems the terscheckii crosses throw a lot of variegates. Maybe a tpm x terscheckii or reverse would have interesting results.

^^that should be fun to watch

I remember seeing some of Werts grafts around here this time last year, there was one in particular that he grafted to a scop of similar fattness to your cereus, possibly a little taller, anyways im not sure how old it was, but the scion looked more like a soccer ball than a loph. So im pretty sure big fat stock is a great idea :)

Update on the rhipsalidopsis stock. the two arios are growing, they have taken over some peres ario grafts. Alot of arios seem to stall on peres for me? im thinking of trying some larger bits of

rhipsalidopsis. the zygo doesnt seem to be coping well with current contitions but rhips is doing good. the arios are random hybrid seed so i cant tell if they are growing true to form but i suspect they are. 20161120_154222.jpg

I am not a huge fan of needless grafts, but I have a quite rare plant, Toumeya papyracantha cristata which I bought grafted, T. papyracantha is very difficult on its own roots and cristates are routinely grafted.  But since it came out of its winter quarters it showed no signs of any activity - so I cut it off its stock, inside it was brown and hard, clearly dying, but some of the peripheral parts were green and moist inside, so I attempted to regraft some of it.  A large and a small piece went onto Myrtillocactus geometrizans stock.   After two weeks the bands have come off and they are still in place. So here´s hoping.  I wonder when I might see some growth if they are going to survive.
