Hi everyone - I have some grafted lophs for sale - all plants are from my own mixed seeds so I don't know what species or varieties they are.

I took some pictures and had some plants numbered and measured but then all the numbering got mixed up - so I'm just posting a folder of pics showing the kind of plants I have - the ones I'm selling are the larger sizes of about 50 mm diameter plus and are all flowering. - You may notice there are some with seed pods. Most are in pretty good shape but have some cosmetic marks from being knocked into each other.

I think the easiest way to buy them would be to PM me with your interest and I can send you pics.

As per my last sale I have been asking approximately $1.50 a mm diameter.

I changed the file names in the below folder so there are 6 different plants - the start of each file name is plant#.# I hope this makes it a little more clear.... :D

I think the oldest grafts there must be in their third summer. the newest ones are just a few weeks old. as well as the lophs there are ( answering teo's and stillman's questions)

grafted pelecyphora pseudopectinatus, a turbinocarpus and under the shadecloth a varigated trichocereus and a trichocereus crest( one of mutants breeding)

Lovely plants WT,

I think you will find your Pelecyphora pseudopectinatus is actually Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus.

P. pseudopectinatus is a very old name & this plant was not the same as the other two species of Pele's, so it was moved in with Turbinicarpus.

Absolutely gorgeous pics. Forgive my ignorance, but why are grafted lophs on pere more expensive than seed grown plants? What is the advantage?

From what I know (which isn't alot haha), lophs grafted on peres, or grafted on anything really, should be cheaper than seed grown, as they have a lower percentage of alkaloids, and obviously have no roots, so they are sent unrooted.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.

So what makes grafted lophs more valuable sorry? Still can't find an answer on that one...

^^ The reason I graft is so I can get my own seed in a year or two rather than waiting five or six years, If you were to buy one of these beautiful plants from WT you can get your own seed! When you see 50 lopho seeds for $25, buying a grafted plant is a bargain.
