Cheers geezers.

Its not inconceivable for this to be played by a 'band'

The drums were done live with a Synesthesia Corporation Mandala pad.

First the Kicks and snares, then hats'n'cymbals.

The main riff is the trusty Les Paul bass, heavily processed with a fanny load of distortion, fuzz, flange and delays.

The eerie shit at the start is a Yamaha DX200, hardware.

Though I am only one man...

Ajna, what are your movements lately?

Bout time you and your instruments visited the Compound surely....

yep can totally tell there's "real" instruments and hands behind this one, def what lends to the rock/band vibe

cool to hear what that mandala pad can do. i loved the intro bit too man

way fuckin overdue to visit man. i;ve just got weekends to utilise atm really, how are weekends for you these days with work etc?

can visit a few days in the week too but i'll have Echo with me - he severely limits the amount of constructive music making that could happen but would happily wonder round the garden all day ha.

anyway got my sis bday this weekend, but after that we should set a date that works for us

Johnny, the Mandala's look excellent. Danny Carey uses them so they must be great ! I recall an interview a number of years ago where he discussed learning to play the tabla, then recording elements of that playing to use as samples that could be triggered by his drum pads in a live scenario.

Im interested to know how you record them, do you mic up an amp, or can you capture a MIDI signal?
