:innocent_n: hehe that's my first ever scop but was sold as a spineless pach,

took me ages to id it till id read a lot of scopical topic threads here

thanks

reminds me of air layering in bonsai ...

at least i still have room for validus (where the colossal tobacco is) ... phew

and the peppers will be out in the GH by the time the rocket speed tomatoes have shaded it out more ,

thus vacating another windowsill  for more diversity enrichment projects

here's a pic i must have kept forgetting to add, of the books i got with a view to learn more about virolapost-14443-0-67774000-1403734135_thumb.j

anyone wanting a harri lorenzi book i would recommend writing to him , he's lovely , and its cheaper that way too

but its one of 4 books , only 3 are in english so far , but all 4 are in portuguese... and they have a species per page

and theres 3 or 4 virola species in vol 1

basic sowing mix is clay ....and what I'd deem as sphagnum... mixed in :)

though it doesnt say sphagnum in it, sphag definitely meets the criterea....

1st day back in the garden for quite some time. Weeded out front, discovered a few of my nice euphorbias hadn't survived the winter :(

Potted up my lovely new tree - cryptomeria littleworth gnome in its shiny new matching pot

post-8023-0-10645300-1404099261_thumb.jp

And my tsuga canadensis jeddeloh got a repot too

post-8023-0-98185600-1404099295_thumb.jp

Made a small garden bed and planted some primulas (one which i was given recently is an edible variety) and a may-apple aka American mandrake.

post-8023-0-50315100-1404099347_thumb.jppost-8023-0-43341700-1404099382_thumb.jp

Repotted a few tricho crests and a couple other bits n bobs..

post-8023-0-62599000-1404099442_thumb.jppost-8023-0-90124200-1404099468_thumb.jp

Collected silene capensis seed. Harvested a few leaves from my white sage plants.. It's amazing how well they have grown - right through winter without any sign of struggle..

post-8023-0-39306000-1404099568_thumb.jp

And most importantly - Remembered how good gardening makes me feel and decided to get to work on my crazy plant collection overload during the remainder of my holidays.

-Yeah ya dew! awesome garden Ceres!.... I love tsuga ...........and taxus ...

.....Today I let 2 sparrows and a robin out of the GH :P.

decided i needed more to add , and that it was about time i fed the rainforest something

so i fed the rainforest box with miracle grow nitrates and some freshly fallen rain (waterbutts overflowing yesterday-scorchio as fk today)

fed the GH and the outdoor magickal plants... looked into getting a latua pubiflora after getting re-excited about it on waterboy's thread

and added 5litres of rain to the aquarium to counter evap'

project ako is still lying dormant awaiting the fresh blood of recently aquired virola seeds, for when they're aquired ..

i think I'll sit with the plants and study again... after a cuppa and a smoak

while i imagine how many of you guys are buzzing pottering about in the garden ....

or just admiring your work ....feeling proud

today i emerged from my dark deep cave to sunshine, so decided to go outside and check the crew.

3year old cappi looks dead.

years old salvia's dead

4 different types of pipers look dead but i'm hoping they'll regenerate

freakin been hella cold and the frost has made my plastic peel back and got to em

:(

so to cheer me self up i sowed some food for the body seeds instead of mind food seeds, ......so i sowed:

-jimmy nardello,cubanelle,golden marconi and bull's horn capsicum's

-plump rosa bianca, violetta di firenze, long purple and listada di gandia heiloom eggplants

-capsicum joes long cayenne peppers

-heirloom tomato reisetomate seeds

nothing like dirty fingertips, seasol and epsom salts everywhere to cheer you up.

Just took a couple of quick pics of my small brugmansia sanguinea that's pumped out 5 simultaneous flowers! It's doing better than it's twin brother that's in the ground at the moment.

Any chance of seeds from this?

I know it was in NZ (my dad grew it at one stage) can't for the life of me find it here now though . . .

In my garden ATM

- 8 strains of cigar tobacco sprouted

- foxglove sprouted

- anise sprouted

- 3 trillion salvia cuttings potted!

added new media to the outdoor-summer-potted magickals just in time for a nice heavy downpour

toothbrushed a few cacti...

got rid of the dead Argyreia nervosa and potted accuminata in it's pot..

pruned suckers off the brugs...

rained the mini forest..
