RogerColgreen Posted November 18, 2015 Repurposed a 55-gallon terrarium as a steamy hot-box for propagating by putting four 40Watt incandescent light bulbs under it. (The friend's snake died . . . still smells like snake.) Have M velutina, lots of normal cactus, and a few specials. Have ordered a STC-100 thermostat off ebay, but really, I can keep the heat where I want it by just adjusting the vents. Roger.

sagiXsagi Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) the spring came early for these small tufts of the famous Crocus sativus . amazing flower and stamens this is probably due to the very mild winter we have been having up to now, also and unusual drought for this time of year. theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted November 29, 2015 My nexus is flowering alongside my cartha and viridis so I am hoping for some some cross pollination by the native bees! I got up early and gave the floribunda hedge a trim, it's been the best screen I've ever used. 3" tube to over 8feet in 1yr

Strontium Dawg Posted December 6, 2015 It's a race to the top. Caapi vs morning glory. Mg is in the lead, but caapi is holding her own. I'm surprised how fast caapi takes off once it has something to climb.

☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted December 12, 2015 (edited) figured I'd procure 2 local Tylomelania spp. and a Faunus ater to see if I can get them to wake the 'dead' ones that way ... and it worked : 3 - maybe the smell of a mate?, or competition? *shrug* also rinsed the shop of their last 12 Aphyocharax paraguayensis too which was a nice rare find in the process.. fingers x'd for more soon if there happens to be an influx.. ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) i hope the cute horned nerites breed .. and the tylomelaniae :3 it would be interesting if the 2 tylomelania species hybridize not sure about the zebra nerites but assuming they breed successfully in fresh water like their horned relatives but the Faunus needs brackish water as far as I know (and a mate) maybe the zebs do to? time will tell.. if they do breed it will take a long time (relatively compared to other aquatic snails) I reckon ... might breed the paraguay tetra though , seem to be rare as fuck as far as breeding (esp in the past) my thing was to breed plecos and dwarf/amazonian cichlids Edited December 17, 2015 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ
