Had my coffee this arvo and noticed these little nugs on my f2 ph qat. Probably been 3 years since ph sent me a beautiful cutting. It's lived quite happily in a ~50l tub for all that time but i've been re-jigging the garden for summer,so it finally will get to stretch it's legs out with all it's kaktoose friends.

Weeded and thinned out some plants for baking, and re-mulched my fungal patch. Some of the spawn was moved to another patch and a tub of it will be destined for a good friend so he can start one too.

Checked on the caapi and her winter hiding place.

I didnt think it would still look this good and after so many frosty melbourne nights.

she even looks like she wants to throw out some new growth

added a 3 stage HMA and carbon filter to the plumbing in Equestria :3

post-14443-0-65515200-1439079260_thumb.j

...now that's what I call real , naturally sweet water!

also trimmed salvia and fed nitrates to the RFB planties..

post-14443-0-14711200-1439088713_thumb.j

added some cuttings to the Paqarina and attributed some kind of order to it now I'm a tad less aeroponically challenged..

It looks like you're doing well with the caapi greenman and the rest of the garden looks good too.

I'd be looking for a position where it can go into the ground, either near a tree (not a prized tree as caapi has a habit smothering trees and eventualluy pulling them down). If not a tree then a trellis is a good idea.

They can handle a wide range of conditions and even take a light frost. Direct morning and afternoon sun are OK but they do best in dappled light until they get a bit older. If you keep the water up to them full sun is fine though.

As for feeding, you can feed them almost anything, whatever you are feeding the rest of the garden should suit the caapi too.

I just sat amongst my plants this afternoon after a few good bumps of kanna and drank some beers. That's what gardens are for sometimes.

Gearing up for spring, acquired some sweeeet lil tricho hybrids, an ario brovanus grafted on pere, and a lovely lush short spined peru cutting from one dear planty-friend and then also some kanna cuttings and datura metel fastuosa seed from another buddy.

The daffidols are sprouting, heralding the beginnings of the new season. Im gna do things properly this year, no fluffing about.

New plant tables 2moz, let the bogfrogery plantnerdery (re)commence!!

...after carefully following a friends instructions on removing all the rotten parts of the new psychotria leaves the other week, looks like the caupuri stub has fuct it though..

will have to try hunt some more seeds down I guess?... any hoo,

I decided to add the Psychotrias post-14443-0-68909000-1440634021_thumb.jto the Paqarena magic waterfall [aeropod] and the rot seems to have fkd auf thankfully .. phew

I really want this one post-14443-0-49142000-1440634034_thumb.jto make it ..sooo badly,

-if not any of the others from the new batch

also took some pics of some Malpighiaceous cuttings that seem to be loving their new liberation so far with a pal psychotria viridis leaf that had fallen off during RFB maintainence post-14443-0-95923300-1440634168_thumb.j

and the last piece of Calea zachatechichi I could salvage after the move seems to have frozen in timepost-14443-0-65053500-1440634224_thumb.j

but in the past has loved the paqarena way more than the RFB [rainforest box] so fingers x'd

same with the Psychotria nervosa .. : /

post-14443-0-32688300-1440634278_thumb.j

aaand the final leaf cutting of the very first round of 5 Psychotria viridis leaf cuts from about 1 year and 3 quarters ago has finally resprouted after a flop-start about 5 weeks ago or so...post-14443-0-00666800-1440634295_thumb.j

this time round it looks like a white aya sproutling ... hopefully its the psychotria though cuz that was the "one I reallly really wanted to sprout" from that batch too... it's the ridiculously abundant domatia on it [and the fave from the new batchpost-14443-0-43473300-1440634048_thumb.j] that I really want to see on a full blown adult plant :drool2:
