AZS Posted May 19, 2014 I missed most opportunities for pollination but somehow the insects did it for me - so far I have hundreds of seeds from this year - some possible hybrids - should be interesting to grow them out.

Hellonasty Posted June 26, 2014 Snagged this lil fella yesterday: IMG_20140518_131328.jpg I believe it to be a Astrophytum Myriostigma cv FUKURYU Not sure exactly what it is but I was told it was FUKURYU at least, if anyone knows more about the specific cultivars please enlighten me [edit: spelling] All of these are type of cultivars are extremely complex as far as genetic lines go, I would simply call it Astrophytum CV Fukuryu (which means extra ribs/extra rib formation). Quite a nice looking plant it should breed well with Ornatum and Myriostigma.

hostilis Posted January 11, 2015 One of my many variegated A. asterias seedlings. I cut all but 1 pup off and grafted them onto other stocks. Unfortunately I didn't think of the fact that it would leave a huge surface area of open wound on the plant. The plant dried out pretty bad, but I think it's okay now.
