goneski Posted November 14, 2012 (edited) Coal Port on the Great Barrier Reef? Sure! Why not?! Anything that's good for the economy, right? I couldn't believe the ad I saw on tv a few nights ago from Santos about Coal Seam Gas. The whole ad was about how safe, clean, etc it is. Blatant propaganda. bogfrog Posted November 15, 2012 I was under the impression that the great barrier reef has already been dying at an alarming speed for several years. Another nail in the coffin
goneski Posted November 15, 2012 Yea pretty much. The coral has supposedly halved over the last 27 years. Although put it this way -- it will be great for both the local economy and the tourism industry. Instead of tourists marveling at a natural wonder, they can be awe-struck by what fucking corporate sell-out whores we are. There's nothing wrong with going for the 'freak show' dollar in tourism, right?
