LikeAshesWeFade Posted October 18, 2012 I've gotta find out what the fuck happened the other week when I had my phone connected via AUX to the surround sound playing some psychill on soundcloud. I had a friend rock up and as he walked in I said to him, "wouldn't it be awesome if there was some sort of psychedelic channel that you could watch late at night to go with music etc." Kinda like a winamp visualization. Knowing that what I was saying was completely stupid because unless it was a video clip on rage or video hits, it just wouldnt happen. Well I left it on ABC1 I think it was.. That had just a notice saying the programs return at 6am. Walked into my back room and started talking with my friend, it was roughly 11.30/12am at night. 10 or so minutes into talking I noticed the front room was flashing brightly with all different colours.. so I walked into the front room and what I seen was simply mind-blowing.. I yelled for my friend to come see it.. There was a DMT-like head with all different waves and rings orbing out from this head figure and the eyes were changing colours and all sorts of totally spun out visuals. The weird thing was.. the volume was up on the tv, yet there was no sound coming out, it was just going with the psychill playing thru the surround sound.. This lasted for roughly 15 or so minutes and then we went out for a cigarette.. by the time we returned it was back to the ABC1 plain screen. Has anybody ever experienced this before?? Sallubrious Posted October 18, 2012 That reminds me of when they would flash Max Headroom clips in the middle of a program back in the eighties. It's hardly psychedelic by todays standards, but back in the 80's computer animation was still in its infancy and no-one had seen much of it so it was buzz. It does sound coincidental hey.. the fact that I wanted something like that to come on, and it did! I am completely dumbfounded as to what the hell it was.. There was no real people in it, it was just like a DMT-influenced visualization. Apart from the fact I saw a face, this is basically what I was witnessing - It could have quite possibly been a video clip from Entheogenic, Shpongle, Kliment, Shulman or the likes.. SunChaser Posted October 18, 2012 There’s no such thing as ABC 4, it’s ABC news24 and is the best channel on tv, btw. Anyway, it wasn’t ABC 1, because they don’t shut down, there usually either got old movies or rage on at that time. ABC 2 doesn’t usually shut down till later in the night. If it had the “programs resume at 6am” message before 12am, then it probably was ABC 3. What I don’t get is why you didn’t check the tv guide on your set top box, if it was as odd & fascinating as you say? Or even just change the channel to see what you were watching? Anyway, there’s nothing paranormal about some trippy short popping up on the tv. Either you were watching another channel (Some trippy rage clip on ABC 1, or maybe one of those trippy ‘7 billion stories and counting’ ads on SBS). Or you were watching ABC 3 like you claim, which does have swirling colours and stuff. You were probably just tired and smoked too much incense, which made it appear trippier than it actually was. Either way, I’m quite sure if it was plant fairies (or whatever other paranormal activity you’ve convinced yourself you saw) fucking with ya, then they’d find a far more creative way to do it, than putting a few trippy colours on your tv screen. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Could you imagine moving to do anything while something like that was on? and you had ambient psychill on aswell.. it's near impossible. We just snapped out of it after 15 minutes or so and went out for a smoke.. by the time I gathered my thoughts enough to even think of checking the tv guide or anything like that, it was gone. I don't recall thinking it was the plant fairies or anything paranormal.. Hence the topic - A Secret Psychedelic Channel. I must have either had it on ABC3 when a visualization came on, or it was something on rage. As I said.. it was roughly 12am and it was a Thursday night. Gahh.. I feel stupid now for not bloody checking the tv guide on the set top box.. I wanted to go get my phone and film it but even that didn't happen.. it was just far too mind blowing to do anything. I was stoned at the time yeah.. but that had nothing to do with it. My mate wasn't high and he was totally in aww aswell.
