re>> TPQC genetics >>> ????

what does this mean - that column is coming from a monstrosa plant? sorry but I lost you

Trichocereus pachanoi 'quasi cristata', i think. a plant that formed crest due to snail bite in nitrogen's collection if i remember correctly.

re>> TPQC genetics >>> ????

what does this mean

what this means is my plant and Nitrogens snail bitten, 'quasi crested' T. pachanoi plant are genetic clones.

oh , I see, I might have one of this... seems pretty straight so far...

this supposed to be peruvianus or pachanoi?

pach

The T. pachanoi "quasi-cristata" (TPQC) is a non-PC pachanoi type that grew crested after an apparent snail attack - maybe it is genetic in there somewhere and the snail attack caused it to come out, or maybe it is purely from the infection - regardless its a beautiful pachanoi though I haven't taken good care of it these past couple years..

I see, thanks...

you see some nice nook member had sent me a "quasi-monstrosa" pachanoi, which felt strange as it doesn't feat a single monstrosa sign.

I should suppose (from what I have read and seen) that nitrogens specimen kept the monstrosa tendencies but still reverts to normal growth, I wonder if I could hope mine would go monster some time?

anyways, here it is (does it look right??)

P1120269.jpg P1120270.jpg

and here are some buds

P1120271.jpg P1120272.jpg

^^^^

this is Yowie pachanoi (NZ) , probably the same with the ozzie, a beautiful and characteristic strain. This specimen comes with awesome scars and all from the recent disasters which I think make him even more beautiful!

Australians dont use gallons they use liters.

But a US gallon is smaller than other gallons. It 1 US gallon = about 3.8L while an Australian (or imperial gallon) gallon = 4.55 L.

fuck your fucking gallons

Zelly, i know this One but forgot the name. Flower looks like a cereus. Will check...actually don´t think it´s Stenocereus Hystrix. Better pics couldn´t hurt.

It appears I got these buds by letting the plant get a little taller than I'm used too. Gave be bursitis or tendinitis of the hip moving it for which I'm still suffering nearly four months latter. I'm happy to have the flowers, but would give them up to get rid of the pain.

The first photos newer than the second...if you noticed. I think one of the buds will open tomorrow night with three others soon to follow.

Yeah PC, these three limbs are from the first Trichocereus I ever got. I still remember buying the single plant off Bob Smoley's wife at Gardenworld in Gibsonia, PA, only to have Bob drive up as I'm leaving and offer a little snicker along with a little conversation and humor. That was 20 years ago.

Hopefully it will be fully open in the morning when there's better light.

If you can, visit the flower 10pm - midnight, it will be fully open by then and the fragrance will certainly 'make your day'.

Also, photography works out great with the background being all black, with (usually) just the subject illuminated by the camera flash.
