I'm pretty sure it's a Mammillaria, but not sure which. Could be a Mammillaria Geminispina

thanks. yer i crossed a couple of lophs with its pollen.

i literally just took the pinkies off my loph. cant wait to see the seedlings!

Hi flumsquid,

Its a Mammillaria, I think albilanata but theirs a few very similar.

Sorry to say but I highly doubt you will get any viable seed from crossing Mammillaria x Lophophora.

i know its a long shot .i also did eg.'s cement tek on the stigma ,hopefully this allows her to accept the mamms pollen

Interesting. Rarely tried crossing Mammillaria x something else as most of them are selffertile and the fertilisation already occures before you can get another pollen in there. But you could try with a pollenmix of diffrent types (lobivia, Echinopsis, Trichocereus, Gymnocalycium,...) for mammillaria x sth. ,

Dont think that attempting to cross Lophopora x Mammillaria is that hopeless. Theres the problem of many Lophophoras being selffertile so i would choose one that is self-sterile. In this case, it can work.
