whitewind Posted July 28, 2012 Sounds interesting, I wonder if ABC iview will show it. We're cheapskates and don't even have a dvd player... It's in 3D so I hope we don't need silly glasses? It's amazing that Kew Gardens does so much interesting stuff, wish that happened over here a bit too.
Foo Posted July 28, 2012 (edited) If only the man was in porn ... Edit: im only kidding (sorta). Love his work though. The only man who would rival him on a COMANTARY level is john cleese. Edited July 28, 2012 by eatfoo
PositiveHAL Posted July 28, 2012 how does it differ to "the private life of plants" the 15 year old doco of his? its a great dvd (or if you're like me on vhs) if you havn't seen it i highly recommend it
at0m Posted July 29, 2012 This one is filmed at Kew and has some amazing timelapse. It also has quite a wide variety of plants allowing them to show us, with actual plants, the development of the plant kingdom. Side note to all you cacti heads: Cacti and succlents are episode 3
Amazonian Posted July 29, 2012 It's in 3D so I hope we don't need silly glasses? Ah, 3D ?!, i doubt i will be able to watch it. 3D makes me feel sick, like it gives me travel sickness. I haven't tried out the latest 3D technology, but i have heard it is pretty good, so i might be OK ?. Usually there is an option for 3D viewing or standard viewing, so i still may get to see the DVD. Foo Posted July 29, 2012 Im finding it very hard to imagine myself in 1,2 or 10 years time with a 3d tv. While i enjoy 3D when i go to the movies ... its not an everyday thing. who wants to tsee the 6 o'clock news in 3d? Thats just laughable. Id almost bet my left nut that this will see alot more release in 2d than 3d.

Bert&Ernie Posted November 4, 2012 Need to get me some bat manure for my cacti
Halcyon Daze Posted November 4, 2012 Waited all week for it and got my parents to watch it too, just to make them realise the reason why I filled their garden with cacti over the years. If Sir David can get so excited over them then EVERYBODY SHOULD damn it. Absolutely loved it!
