Jonstn Posted June 16, 2012 (edited) I've used blue and white Christmas lights with success on herbs, got the same lights in my cacti seedling box now with a little fluro, only thing I've noticed is that since I've put the LEDs in the soil dries up a lot faster. Goodluck on your experiments looking forward to seeing progress :Edit: and welcome to the forum Edited June 16, 2012 by Jonstn

naja naja Posted June 16, 2012 LEDs have bad throw. They need to be close to work. Lower them down to with a ft or two. And why just blue? Why not Rex and blue?
Stillman Posted June 16, 2012 they need to be almost touching to do much, I don't recon the technology is up to scratch yet, in the future they will be great but every one I have tride is not so great compared to normal winter light, fluros or cfls.
