The Corroboree

Question

Hi guys, first post on these forums :)

I found a few little mushrooms on my sisters property in stoneyford, about 20 minutes drive west of colac. The forest where I found them is made up of mostly gum and blackwood trees. I found multiple small patches mostly between rocks in low lying damp areas. They are only small, the biggest one I found had a cap about the size of a 50 cent coin. The stems are all fairly thin and the gills are a yellowish colour. The colour of the caps look the same as most pictures of subs I've seen and the stems bruised blue. The only thing different from the description of subs on these forums are that the stems are really thin, rather then the thick meaty looking ones I have seen photos of.

I've never taken shrooms before and only know what i have read on these forums so I'm a bit wary of them. I'l post a picture, any help would be appreciated .

Thanks guys. :)

Hi Jwerta,

I was advised to dry them out last night by a friend so I did. I'm not sure if a spore print will work now but I will try. . . . As I said before, total noob haha

definately a sub mate even though your pic when enlarged is extremely blurry

i think you can safely say its a sub looks like bluing on the stem and the cap is a very sub like to

overall charecteristics i would say sub

they wont always have meaty stems on them i've seen many with small thin stems like that

just be sure though if you can see definate blueing you've got what your looking for

its always a good idea to go through everything at the end to just to make sure nothing you dont want got in the mix

sorry mate your pic looks 100% sub to me

but in saying that i dont want you to die

always make sure you know what your looking for

picking and eating wild mushrooms is a very dangerous thing if you dont know what your doing

you pic is very convincing small but its also very blurry when enlarged

looks can be decieving

It's definitely a sub from morphology and the clearly visible stem bruising.

I think from a scientific standpoint 10-20 g fresh would contain the concentration of psilocybin/psilocin to be psychoactive, but of course that would be purely hypothetical.

Can I just add that self incrimination is a very bad idea.....

Have you read the forums rules?
