at0m Posted June 6, 2012 Found them under a tree in my front yard. I noticed them last year but I have a friend who seems to really enjoy kicking mushrooms...
0 tonic Posted June 6, 2012 Pretty sure they are Coprinellus sp. Not 100% on the species though.
0 Trayto Posted June 6, 2012 (edited) How big was the cap. Could it possibly be coprinus atramentarius?? The inky cap? Edit: a young fruit? Edited June 6, 2012 by Trayto
0 at0m Posted June 7, 2012 Ah, I should have added some scale into the photos. The caps are no larger than a 20c piece. It doesn't look like it, Trayto. I'll keep an eye on them for the next day or two and see if they "inkify" but it doesn't appear to be happening as of yet.
0 NSF Posted June 8, 2012 Could be C. micaceus or C. domesticus, slightly older specimen, with the yellow/orange faded.
