a couple of quick snaps of another ompholotus nidiformis i found in the yard

wanted to try and get a bit of a different shot of them to wat you normally see

so i used a really high iso in alot of them so you can see the background a bit aswell

something different i think haha

probably not

anyway enjoy :)

not really theres quite a few native trees around the yard though

big redgum lots of bottle brush things

a huge acacia maidenii or longifolia

the light you see in the back in the last pic is the front door

and the second pic the light in the back is the fence at the side of the house

so yeh its not really bushland at all

I seem to remember my myco-crazy lecturer telling me they have a symbiois with certain gum trees.

Must be the redgums!

I've seen and photographed O. nidiformis on pine (Pinus radiata) stumps before. I've also seen then growing from a thin layer of detritus in a casuarina grove. Beautiful things. Beautiful photographs!

nice pics! there is a big fruiting of these mushrooms on a tree near the cross river campsite at washpool NP, on a dark night its like a beacon on where the crossing is.
