What are these little guys?

Question

Found these little fellas in woodchips after the rain in sydney- they look a bit like subs. They were dry when I found them so lacking a bit of detail, no spore prints either. Interested to know what species they might be & if they're common in the city?

the stipe is wrong, swollen at the base and mottled with what looks like hairs or fibers. margin is also wrong.

Definitely, 100% NOT subs. Very common species but the name escapes me. (I'm so embarrassed! :( )
