matacuna madisonorium graft to pach (the perfect graft :)

Recommended Posts

hey guys i did this graft probly about a month ago

this is probly the most perfect graft i have done

i call it the perfect graft because no sulphur was used no browning or discolouration occured at all

the scion stuck perfectly and began to grow within less than a week

no browning no sulphur and a perfectly stuck graft wat more could you want

not a problem in the world with this one :)

(please note a flash was used with these pics so colours appear darker than they actually are)

check it out

Yeah it would have been about 3 months. Wil pop up a pic wen I cn borrow a camera.

Did u know that matacuna madisonorium goes columnar eventually? I thnk it would take a very long time, 10 years or so but it looks amazing. Grafting should accerlate that process, fingers crossed!

I've got 3 that are going columnar, they range in size 15-18 cm atm. One is albiflora, white flowered, and all on their own roots. Which reminds me, maybe i should up size their pots.

I'll post pics if myco asks, because after all, this is his thread on his graft, which btw looks mighty fine.

its a D-90 with a Nikkor 18-200 tele zoom

the black background is a big piece of cloth, felt I think. something like velour would be much better.

literally decades ago in a college photog class the prof had us shoot a roll of b/w film at 1/2 asa of the film speed, shooting backgrounds only.....fields of flowers, grass, water, blue skies, etc etc, and writing down what each frame was.

then re-wind the film and shoot subject matter pics, portraits, closeups, objects, etc...then we developed the film.

lesson taught (and learned), backgrounds are just as important as subject matter, if not more so.

I was the only one in the class that submitted a nude photo of a woman for the final project. (cute redhead with lotsa freckles)

The wanker prof gave me an A for the class. :P
