Hey Stillman you have been getting some really good growth over the last few months they are looking really good. Have you had a fair bit of warm weather or are these under lights?

I have them out side in a mini hot house under shadecloth but they all start off under 20 watt cfls, but they have really gone nuts once I put them outside. The spot gets long sun and it is warming up here. Been in the high 20s low 30s all week and the humidity has been cruel. I think its the humidity that they like the most.

The Albino/ variegated pups have taken well. 3 in total, pic of the best one.

I will be mass propagating this one in the new year, onto peres and permanent stock.

I think I'm just going to leave them go until they either break the peres or exhaust it, while they are still putting on good size quick I figure its best to let them do their thing.

November update thought I would show some grafts I haven't update for a while and update my Albino Tricho project.

OK so TBM on T.spach

DSCF2036-1.jpg

Sick pach on spach this one is like a big ugly art installation

DSCF2033.jpg

Not sure what this one is either a Mammarilla or Rebutia peres

DSCF2022-2.jpg

ANd a group shot of some of my seed grown on own roots and seed grown grafted Trichocereus

DSCF2030-2.jpg

And my albino Trichocereus project group shot

DSCF2015-2.jpg

from them I will make take some more grafts and then get them out into the community, I'm starting to think the cross is possibly Psycho0 x T. spachianus.

This pic has two interesting grafts in it, the front left is from the same seed as the Albino to me it looks very "spachianus like" hence why I have my theory. The tricho on the right is a nitrogen cross

Ecuadorian pach x N1 cool looking plant looking forward to that one putting on some size.

Very cool thread, I think you've convinced me to try some grafting in the new year, where do you get pereskiopsis from?

Ow man I would love a little albino spach on pere one day. Waves hand about madly as sign of 'expression of interest' :D

Looks like a couple of the ones of pere already have pups ready to put on more pere too? :D

Love the pics man. Grafting is a never ending joy!

My first ever peres graft

DSCF2025-2_zps8c192c30.jpg

Astrophytum asterias hybrid (from Hellonasty seed) I had heaps of these grafted and catapillars ate most of them when they were tiny one night. This is the only one that survived. I think it was grafted from seed in January?

DSCF2020-2_zpsb48a4ac0.jpg

Astro on spach has a flower so must be happy?

DSCF2021_zps3cc21b72.jpg

TBM on spach looks like its really going to push this year

New years update, Most of the grafts will be coming up 10 months point from seed germination. The Ecudorian pach x N1 and the sso2x Serra Canyon would only be about 6 months from memory. Most of my original batch of seeds were through PD, the Psycho0 open pollinated seeds are very interesting, Initially I thought they may have been crossed with T spachianus but am not sure? They are producing very heavy long spined progeny, That aren't really growing very rapidly.

Group shot of my favourite grafts and seedlings which show the best growth.

DSCF2031-4_zps0c9be530.jpg

J3 open pollinated this is a seriously thick peru hybrid.

DSCF2023_zps8fbd6f4f.jpg

2 Albino Psycho0 open pollinated on permanent stock I still haven't done anything with the ones on peres but I intend to graft a few onto some T peruvianus.

sso2 x Serra Canyon

DSCF2024-1_zpsadcc2f5a.jpg

Jb open pollinated Very fast growing bridgesiod Some of these plants are showing very nice blue. This one is 29cm and I'm pretty sure I only grafted it in July.
