You'll have 3 fill in the blanks

UPDATED LINK

Commodity (type in the species you wish to import, ie ariocarpus) not ariocarpus seeds, just the species name by itself

From Country (leave All Countries)

For End Use (use the pull down menu & select Seeds for Sowing)

Experience has proven if it's not listed in this data base, good luck importing it. YMMV

Now if a mod would pin this....I wouldn't have to keep posting it 3x yearly. :P

i would be willing to place the order myself and deal with AQUIS customs, but would prefer if somone with experience in this area would do it.

EDIT: Tipz come back....we need your magik buying power...can you oversea an order from Koeres from Iran for Aus ? lol

Make sure you pay close attention to how they define drug, from the customs regulations its not actualy the act as I refered to it earlier but the regulations for the act:

drug means:

(a) a chemical, compound, or other substance or thing, that is included in Schedule 4;

(B) an isomer or a mixture of isomers of a chemical or compound referred to in paragraph (a);

© a derivative of:

(i) a chemical or compound referred to in paragraph (a); or

(ii) an isomer or mixture of isomers referred to in paragraph (B);

(d) a substance or thing, other than an exempted preparation, that contains, or consists in part of:

(i) a chemical, compound, or other substance or thing, referred to in paragraph (a);

(ii) an isomer or mixture of isomers referred to in paragraph (B); or

(iii) a derivative referred to in paragraph ©; or

(e) a chemical or compound, other than a chemical or compound that is a drug by virtue of another paragraph of this definition, that, in the manufacture by a chemical process of a chemical or compound referred to in paragraph (a), is an immediate precursor of that chemical or compound.

myco - http://www.cites.org/eng/app/appendices.php

After appendix II, basically all cacti species are cites listed, Pereskia spp., Pereskiopsis spp. and Quiabentia spp. being the exceptions. At least based upon my understanding.

Don't forget to look up "echinopsis" with ICON also, there are heaps of those on the allowed list too, (even many we would call trichos).

Just tell the company to label them as echinopsis. It's a no brainer :)

Indeed, significantly more are allowed under "echinopsis"

The website you are looking for is no longer available.

The Department of Agriculture has replaced ICON, eLodgement and ePermits systems
with the new Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) System.

In 10 seconds you will be redirected to a page where you can learn about and access BICON.

If the automatic redirection does not occur, please click on the following link - http://www.agriculture.gov.au/bicon

Spent twenty minutes finding the corresponding page about the allowed imports but wasnt able to. This new page sucks ass. If someone manages to find the list of seeds that are permitted please let me know. All I could find is that they want people to make an account and that´s hardly an option.

It´s great that someone made a snapshot of the Trichocereus page. Did anybody do the same for the Echinopsis page?

Did anybody do the same for the Echinopsis page?

Here are the updated lists (effective September 22nd for Trichs and October 30th for Echinopsis). It's not as easy to read as before:

Echinopsis:

EvilGenius, I can see where the confusion came from. The tab to do the search is under "Import Conditions" which is clearly a phrase coined by a software database person, not a normal person.

post-14583-0-35802700-1446908406_thumb.j

How to use the New System:

1) Click this link

https://bicon.agriculture.gov.au/BiconWeb4.0/ImportConditions/Search/

Page looks like this:

post-14583-0-15886000-1446907556_thumb.j

2) Click "Scientific Name" tab:

post-14583-0-70769800-1446907662_thumb.j

3) Type in the Genus name that you're looking for and click "Filter":

For example Trichocereus:

4) Check the box next to the genus name and click "Search":

(you can just use this box to look for your species)

post-14583-0-63427300-1446907899_thumb.j

5) Look under the Tab, "Permitted Seeds for Sewing"and find your species:
