EMERGENCY warnings have been issued for communities along WA's northwest coast as Cyclone Lua hits land, in the city of Pardoo.

Pardoo consists of a roadhouse, a tavern & a caravan park, all part of the same infrastructure. Oh and theres Pardoo station down the road a bit.

Interesting to see that its been upgraded to a city.

Way more dramatic if it's called a city, gotta love news :s

An update:

There is an immediate risk to lives and home of people between Bidyadanga and Port Hedland, FESA has warned. Stay indoors, away from windows (keep them closed, obviously), and do not come out until authorities have given the all clear.
