Evil Genius Posted March 1, 2012 The three glaucous ones in the front, second pic, should be Rosei. Bridgesii is in the second pot from the right, second pic. I also see many Scops all over the place. bye Eg
Foo Posted March 1, 2012 The big fatty lieing down looks like my tersheckii. The cactus furtherest in pic 1 looks like a pycho0 x i have. Closest cacus pic 1 is a scop
Evil Genius Posted March 1, 2012 The one on the left, first pic? Its hard to tell from a cutting of that size but spines kinda look like some sort of Peruvianus. A big one though. But the small one behind that one could be a Terscheckii.
Foo Posted March 1, 2012 one could consider tersheckii and peru one in the same? Seen that spoken of quite a few times. Interested to hear your take on that.
Evil Genius Posted March 1, 2012 Terscheckii and Peruvianus are diffrent in many ways. Spine color, in many cases spine shape and spine lenght, Amount of Ribs when mature, some aspects of the flower are diffrent as well. Also, Terscheckii, Pasacana and the similar Cacti are a diffrent type of cacti in the sense that they occur in diffrent regions. While i have no doubt that most San Pedro Trichos should be lumped together, i wouldnt put Terscheckii in the same Category. They are related but not the same. solomon Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) one could consider tersheckii and peru one in the same? Seen that spoken of quite a few times. Interested to hear your take on that. Really? You sure you don't been pach and peru? IMO eg is spot on Edit: and yeah u are right about the wee one being the tersheckii i think, looks like the form sold by a nursery here Edited March 1, 2012 by centipede
Evil Genius Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) Btw, spination of the lying fatty looks a lot like Rosei as well. And i can definately see some glaucousness. Only thing i cant see on the fatty is the whitish wool on the areoles. But they may be a bit dirty from laying on the ground. Edit: Btw, can you post another pic of the multi-ribbed Trich in the background right beside the white bucket on the second pic? It looks interesting and you can only see the tip on the picture. whitewind Posted March 3, 2012 More photos. I'm quite interested to see the results of my almost random guesses, and learn how a few more cacti look. A lot of your stuff looks pachanoid to me, and I don't know a lot of the various hybrids knocking about.
