i was only joking with my guess. somebody else will appreciate the cutting more than me.

those succulents do nothing but attract katydids anyway.

watch those tree crickets mate they actually bite. We get a little fucker up here in the hills that has like a million legs. Not like a milopede, looks more like a cricket or something. Ill try and get a snap.

couple from the vic alpine region, I'm thinking first one maybe a female Mountain Katydid Acripeza reticulata

This was a big heavy waspy thing that was like 40mm long.. Check out the hairs and claws on its legs.

^ oothecae, yes, a cockroach egg. It will have a heap of babies in it. With some cockroaches, the babies are developing whilst the egg is hanging out /being laid, and then it hatches and you see all these white little babies on the mum. :)

Not an insect as the thread title states,,,, but this was under a shoe at the front door. Lucky it didn't get squished.
